WEEK 7

During the lecture class in Week 7, we were exposed to a new word, 'ARPANET'. So, what is the exact definition of 'ARPANET'? Basically, it is defined as the network which serves as basis for Internet. Back in 1967, the first concept derived had kick-started the development of 'ARPANET' under the direction of U.S. Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA). And with the initial purpose of providing convenience for users to communicate with and share computer resources, it was then upgraded to higher level from time to time.

Next, E-commerce which is the trend nowadays had been introduced in class too. The most common E-commerce examples that we encounter in our daily life include Amazon, eBay and so on. With these, shopping without stepping out of our house is no longer a dream. (But frankly speaking, we are so into online shopping :))

As usual, we had a short reporting session on our CIP Progress in lab hours. For our group, we had done the website draft and we were told to invite the restaurant owner to attend to the website presentation. Feeling little nervous and excited at the same time! :D

On top of that, we learnt how to analyze websites. Few extensions are first needed to be added in order to work that out. After the class, I think all of us had mastered simple things like checking the websites' rank and IP address.

To summarize Week 7, it was indeed a busy week. Time flies in blink of an eye, half of the semester had gone. And for the remaining seven weeks, I believe that my life will be tougher. Anyway, stay strong and keep going <3

Last but not least, convocation season is now back!! Happy graduation to all the graduates. Hopefully the traffic in UPM will not be too heavy this year :))
